Li Cunxin grew up in a remote commune village in China, one of seven sons to a poor rural family. Li’s peasant life changed dramatically when, at the age of eleven, he was chosen by Madame Mao’s cultural advisers to become a student at the Beijing Dance Academy. After attending a summer school in America, for which he was one of only two students chosen, he defected to the West and went on to become one of the best male dancers in the world.

Li’s eldest daughter, Sophie, is a Bionic Ear recipient and Li is a board director at The Bionic Ear Institute.

“The Butterfly Catcher” CD - Graham Trevor
 $21.00 including postage

At six Graham lost his sight and was diagnosed with a hearing impairment. Graham’s hearing slowly deteriorated over the years until he could no longer hear his music – but he could feel it. In 2003 he had a Bionic Ear implant and Graham now finds his hearing more consistent and gives him enough to pursue his passion.

Against these odds, he learnt to play the guitar and now plays the classical guitar at local restaurants and busks regularly in Melbourne. Graham, one of volunteer ambassadors, has also played at fundraising events.

"The Butterfly Catcher” album is a compilation of music that reflects the love for his wife, the romance of the guitar, and the soul pieces that influenced his life.
