The Bionic Ear Institute is a registered sponsor under the Temporary Business Long Stay visa program. Therefore senior researchers are eligible to apply for advertised positions within the Institute and, if successful, would be required to apply for a visa to work in Australia under the Standard Business Sponsorship program.

Melbourne is a cosmopolitan city of over 3.5 million inhabitants. The Bionic Ear Institute is located at the eastern end of the Central Business District. Melbourne is a fairly flat city with many bike lanes and pathways in addition to an extensive tram and train network.
