About the Group

Overview

The Melbourne Hearing Group is a cluster of hearing and audiology services in and around the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital, led by Professor Richard Dowell, Director of Audiology Services, and Professor of Audiology and Speech Sciences within the University of Melbourne Department of Otolaryngology.

The aim of the hearing group is to provide world's best practice audiology, fully integrated with ENT and other specialist medical services to provide the best hearing outcomes for children and adults. This is achieved through close interaction with the University of Melbourne School of Audiology, and the research programs that take place through the University of Melbourne Department of Otolaryngology, The Bionic Ear Institute and the Co-operative Research Centre for Cochlear Implant and Hearing Aid Innovation, and our commitment to a client-centred evidence-based approach.
