My academic interests are set in the intersection of neuroscience (spiking neuron models, neural dynamics, synaptic mechanisms), machine learning (generic learning algorithms, signal processing) and mathematical modelling.
I started my PhD in December 2005 and my topic targets the study of the dynamics of neural networks where synaptic plasticity takes place, especially Spike-Timing Dependent Plasticity (STDP) in recurrently connected networks of Poisson neurons.
My supervisors are
Anthony N
Burkitt,
David B Grayden and
Doreen A Thomas.
I also belong to
NICTA.
My other interests include sports (all kinds of), cooking, and
actually vary with the seasons.
